IMS (Infosys McCamish Systems) in an interview disclosed the IT attack on LockBit had stolen the sensitive data of over 6 million users.

Infosys McCamish Systems is an IT company that offers consulting, outsourcing, and cloud services. Infosys specializes in providing financial and insurance services to enterprises.

Infosys has a strong presence in the US market and serves large fintech institutes including Bank of America, and some top insurers in the US. Earlier this year in Feb, IMS disclosed that the company was attacked by ransomware called LockBit in Nov 2023 in which the hacker stole the sensitive data of 57,000 customers of Bank of America and a total of 6M user data stolen from the company.

IMS said the compromised data of the users include:

  • Social Security Number
  • Biometric data
  • Medical treatment/record information
  • Date of birth
  • Username and password
  • Email address and password
  • Account information
  • Driver’s License number
  • Card Details
  • Passport number
  • US Military ID Number

IMS issued a letter to the users affected by the ransomware attack. The letter reads the instructions to claim a 2-year identity protection plan by Kroll to protect them from any risk.
