Japan-based, ThinkCyte, a biotech company that manufactures scientific instruments for advanced purposes raised $15 million additional led by Japan Green Investment Corp in the extension series and brought the Series C total to $32 million.
SMBC VC No. 7 and KIRIN-GB Fund I L.P. actively backed the round. After this round, the company raised a total funding of $91 million.
Japan-Based ThinkCyte Raised $32M Series C
CEO Thinkcyte, Waichiro Katsuda said that these funds will help us accelerate and scale up the development process. Also, the company is working on expansion across the globe.
ThinkCyte is a biotech company founded in 2016 to manufacture advanced scientific instruments that help in diagnostics, science research, & development in therapeutic.
Also, ThinkCyte’s VisionSort is an AI morphometric cell sorting, and dual-mode fluorescence instrument that enables institutions, and biopharmaceutical companies to take their research to a new level. CEO said that they are partnering with global institutes and companies to develop further research programs to help ThinkCyte grow.
