Accenture Acquired Udacity

Accenture has recently acquired Udacity, a California-based ed-tech startup expert in crafting personalized tech courses that allow users to enroll with the flexibility of time and human interaction.

The deal amount was not disclosed and will only happen after the clearance of antitrust policies. After the acquisition, Accenture will use Udacity’s expertise in crafting education with scalable learning technology and expert services. It will also help provide relevant courses to bridge the online gap.

CEO Accenture said that the Udacity team of 230 professionals will shift to Accenture LearnVantage where they upskill and reskill their tech knowledge.

CEO of Udacity, Kai Roemmelt founded the company in 2011. Udacity is an advanced ed-tech platform integrated with AI to reform the traditional way of education. Moreover, Udacity has exclusive content, practical courses (crafted by industry leaders), and 1,400 experts who serve approximately 21 million students in 195 countries.
