US-based, Shield AI, a tech company that makes technology for defense raised $300 million; $100 million in equity led by US Innovative Technology Fund in Series F and $200 million in debt by Hercules Capital.
The Series F is participated by Snowpoint Ventures, Sahin Boydas, Riot Ventures, Other People’s Capital (OPC), Karman Ventures (fka Moving Capital), Disruptive, and ARK Investment Management.
Shield AI Raised Another $300M at $2.8B Valuation
Co-founders Shield AI, Brandon Tseng, Ryan Tseng, and Andrew Reiter said that the funds raised will be used to build an AI pilot for drones that will help US defense in security.
After this round, Shield AI’s valuation rose to $2.8 billion which was $2.7 billion last year. Shield AI enables defense forces to enhance security with unmanned vehicles in high-threat environments with its auto-pilot drones and jets.
